YES! She Paints too

Well everyone,

Yes! I paint too! :) I thought it would be good to let you all know a little bit more about me outside of the realms of music. In my down time, I like to lose myself in my artwork.

The actor and comedian, Jim Carey, said that “Art is a natural extension of self and a way to explore your inner world” and this is so true to me. Art can make you feel alive in a different way to music but all is intertwined and inspired by emotion or what you feel an audience needs. I guess that’s artistry across the board.

A painting can also tell you what’s in a persons soul by the use of different colours. It’s quiet poetic really.

Above are some of my favourite paintings. These are inspired by my need to express, that beauty comes in all forms and to push this narrative of beauty into the open to be seen, acknowledged and empowered in the space.

I am heavily inspired by Artists, Freda Kahlo and Jean-Michel Basquiat. who were unapologetic, fierce and who never conformed to the norms of art. This allowed them the freedom to be their authentic selves.
